Linking the ARTS to Academics through Abstract Design
Geometry, Music, Art, Math and Science are all based on number systems primarily due to understanding measurement. Because of nature, these subjects are well connected to each other and have many similarities which help us understand how nature’s fabric has been materialized in various ways:
Resonance, Vibration, Frequency, Angles
Degrees, Ratios, Inversions, Scale & Patterns
As we use creative skills with the understanding of number sequence and provide games and tools, we build a deeper and more abstract understanding of these subjects. This is what art does. It adds the qualitative concepts to build quantitative results. As we develop our understanding of these connections we are then, able to produce new ideas, design, and invent.
It is not just knowledge and creative learning that we are producing. Rather, we are building knowledge and demonstrating tools from which to create.
